1. Diseased meat is not rare, but common. Every phase of disease is brought into the human system through subsisting upon the flesh of dead animals.  C.D, 292.
2. The liability to take disease is increased tenfold by meat eating. Worldly physician cannot account for the rapid increase of disease among the human family. But we know that much of this suffering is caused by the eating of dead flesh.  The animals are diseased, and by partaking of their flesh, we plant the seeds of disease in our own tissue and blood."  C.D. 386.
3. Concerning flesh meat, we should educate the people to let it alone. Its use is contrary to the best development of the physical, mental, and moral powers.  7 T. 134.
4. Some animals that are brought to the slaughter seem to realize what is to take place, and they becomes furious, and literally mad. Their meat is poison, and has produced, in those who have eaten it, cramp, convulsions, apoplexy, and sudden death". 2 SM. 419.
5. Your manner of living has strengthened the animal of your nature and weakened the spiritual".  2 T.62.
6. The effect of eating the meat of these unhealthy animals is diseased blood, sickness, and fevers. 2 T.153.
7. The animal creation is diseased. Flesh meats are diseased.  2 T.369.
8. Why then need we eat flesh meat?. Few who eat this know how full it is of disease. Ev. 664.
9. Animals are often transported long distance and subjected to great suffering in reaching market and the poor creature are driven to their death, that human beings may feast on the carcasses--and entirely body soon become contaminated by the filth". M.H. 314.
10. Those who use flesh meats freely do not always have an unclouded brain and an active intellect, because the use of the flesh of animals tends to cause a grossness of body and to benumb the finer sensibilities of the mind. The liability to disease is increased by flesh eating.  C.H. 115.
11. Cancers, tumors, and all inflammatory disease are largely caused by meat eating. M.M.278.
